  • What is the difference between a Pastoral Reference and a Leader Reference?

    The Pastoral reference is for the purpose of blessing and endorsing the student in their attendance to the School, whilst the Leader reference is from a Church Leader / mentor who is willing to journey with the student while they are in School of Prophets.

  • How can I apply?

    Simply click on the ‘apply now’ button and fill out the application.

  • Will School of Prophets be cancelled or postponed if COVID-19 restrictions continue through to the next school year?

    Given the unprecedented events of 2020, we realise that it is difficult to be absolute. What we can say is that we have successfully run School of Prophets in 2020 using Zoom. If we were put into a similar situation again, resulting in an inability to deliver the In House and Hubs via onsite learning, it would be our intention to proceed with the school via Zoom.

  • If I get accepted, but then decide not to come, or need to withdraw, can my application be forwarded to next year?

    Your application is not transferable to a different school year. You will be required to reapply.

  • Is School of Prophets an accredited institution?

    No, the school is not an accredited institution.

  • Is School of Prophets affiliated with a Church?

    No, but it is hosted at Stairway Church in Melbourne, Australia.

  • Does School of Prophets provide childcare?

    We unfortunately do not offer childcare.

  • Is there a minimum age requirement to attend School of Prophets?

    Yes, you need to be 18 years of age.

  • Does School of Prophets have several intakes in the year?

    School of Prophets has only 1 intake at the beginning of each year.

  • How long does School of Prophets run for?

    It runs for 7 months, from March – October.

  • InHouse and Hubs

  • How many hours per week does School of Prophets In house & Hubs require?

    Aside from the contact hours, there is a 12 week devotional in Term 1 and a 4 week devotional in Term 2 which you will likely spend a minimum of 30mins per day over 5 days of the week.

    Additionally, there is Encounter which will involve 1 weekend of intensive teaching. Dates for this can be found in the calendar.

  • Where does School of Prophets meet?

    In House – Stairway Church.
    Brisbane Hub – Nexus Church.
    Perth Hub – Urban Church.

  • When are classes held?

    In House – Wednesday nights, 7.30 pm – 10:00 pm.
    Brisbane Hub – Tuesday nights, 7.00 pm – 9.30 pm.
    Perth Hub – Monday nights, 7.00 pm – 9.30 pm.

  • Online

  • How many hours per week does School of Prophets Online require?

    To complete the weekly teachings and tasks, you will require between 1-2 hours per week. Additionally, there is a 12 week devotional in Term 1 and a 4 week devotional in Term 2 which you will likely spend a minimum of 30mins per day over 5 days of the week.

  • Is School of Prophets Online available to individuals based outside of Australia?

    Yes, the Online School is available to anyone who lives >50km away from the In House school in Melbourne, Australia.

  • Finances

  • What do my school fees cover?

    Your school fees cover the 7 month school tuition, and the books that are required for that year of school. Students are responsible for their own food and accommodation during the school.  

  • I’m married, do I qualify for the Married Couple Fee?

    To be eligible for the married couple fee, both individuals are required to be enrolled in the same year.

  • Can I pay the tuition fees in Instalments?

    School of Prophets does have a payment plan option.
